Scenic Rim Eat Local Month runs from the 1st June to the 2nd July. This is a month long celebration of the fabulous produce from the Scenic Rim. The Winter Harvest Festival on Saturday the 1st of July is the grand finale to Eat Local Month. You'll get to enjoy market stalls, celebrity chefs, cooking demonstrations, a tractor pulling competition and live music. This family friendly day gives you a chance to meet farmers and producers, enjoy plenty of taste testing and learn more about food from the Scenic Rim. Don't forget your esky!
The Scenic Rim Clydesdale Spectacular will be on at the Boonah Showgrounds, Saturday and Sunday 17th and 18th June. Like an old fashioned country show with a Scottish twist, this is a great day out for heavy horse lovers. The horses feature in led competition, carriage and harness classes. The weekend features plenty of family entertainment with rare trades demonstrations including harness making, blacksmiths, wheelwrights and whip plaiting. Other entertainment includes whip cracking, wood chop, pipes and drums bands, harness making, whip making and carriage rides.
